English: Water was channeled to a reservoir at the back of the Nymphaeum, its distribution point, via an aqueduct. Only an extent of this aqueduct located at the back of Treasury Terrace remains. Most media show only the wall facing Olympia, which must be shored by steel struts to prevent collapse. The struts are an identifying feature. A close-up of an aerial photograph shows a channel. As it vanishes underground near the Nymphaeum, and apparently emerges from the hill at the other end, it is interpreted as a tunnel exposed by excavation.
