English: The Apache Trail began as a trail used by the Apache, and later became a stagecoach route through the Superstition Mountains, of central Arizona. The present day Arizona State Route 88 follows the historic route, between Apache Junction and Theodore Roosevelt Lake, and is a National Forest Scenic Byway in the Tonto National Forest.
