English: Anton Sussmann (1867-?), was an Austrian military artist/painter/illustrator/artist in Vienna.
- According to Allgemeines Künstlerlexikon (2002) Anton Sussmann was an Austrian genre painter and ilustrator. According to worldcat.org he seems to have been active as a book illustrator from around 1897 to around 1940. He is sometimes titled Hauptmann and k. u. k. Hauptmann (kaiserlich und königlich Hauptmann, 'Imperial and Royal Captain'), in the 1930s also major a.d. ('major in the reserve'). According to General catalogue of printed books (1959) and The National union catalog (1968) Sussmann used the pseudonym Anton Sassmann in some of the uniform booklets published in the 1930s by Moritz Ruhl Verlag, a German publishing company based in Leipzig, Saxony producing illustrated books between the 1890s and 1942.
