Frog species diversity and the frog population in general have been in steady decline for some decades in 7th Brigade Park, Chermside. A once respectable population, vocal during warmer months, has now almost vanished. Regrettably the same cannot be said for the invasive cane toad. It appears to have a stable population, and can be heard calling in the warmer months.
