English: Traditionalist painters prefer oil paintings. But acrylic paintings, although in some respects more difficult to create, have some points in their favor: They are not toxic (the paint is soluble in water before hardening under the effect of the air). The colors are brighter and more vivid. And, as acrylic is a type of plastic (product of twentieth-century chemistry), these paintings are potentially more durable.
