English: Oishi Matora (1796–1833), Japanese painter, illustrator, and printmaker. Son of a physician in Nagoya; studied with Chô Gesshô and Watanabe Shûkei; worked in Edo and Osaka; developed and practiced his own brand of Tosa-syle drawing and painting (John Fiorillo).
