Catalina affair refers to two incidents over Baltic Sea, east of isle Gotska Sandön.
On June 13, 1952, a Swedish Douglas DC-3 (Tp 79001 Hugin) was shot down by a MiG-15bis, with all crew of 8 lost.
On June 16, 1952, a Swedish PBY-5A Catalina (Tp 47002), sent to search for 79001, was shot down by two MiG-15bis planes, with all crew of 5 rescued.
