Sitio Kaliburan
[edit]The sitio covers the residential areas at the northern side of the National Road (formerly known as Calle Real during the Spanish Era), which is accessed through the Fuentes St. and part of Baban St., north of the National Road. It also covers the residential area, around a hundred meters from the corner of Baban St. and Bonifacio St. Many old families belonging to the principales of Banate have their residences in Kaliburan. Descendants of the Gobernadorcillos Don Felix Baviera, Don Thomas Juanico, Don Circiaco Fuentes, and Don Martin Balderas still maintain their residential properties in this sitio.
The Villaluz apartment and the Residence of Ms. Luz Balderas Gonzales (owned by the descendants of Don Felix Baviera and Don Martin Balderas) flank the beginning of Fuentes St., while the Brillantes Apartments (also owned by the descendants of Don Felix Baviera, Don Tomas Juanico and Don Martin Balderas) and the Gonzales Commercial Center (also owned by the descendants of Don Felix Baviera and Don Martin Balderas) flank the beginning of the part of Baban St. north of the National Road. The corner of Baban and Bonifacio Sts. is marked by the former residence of Ludovico Arroyo Bañas, a World War II veteran hero and one of the pioneers in the Telecommunications Bureau of the Republic of the Philippines. It is now owned by one of his daughters who married one of the descendants of Don Felix Baviera, Don Tomas Juanico and Don Martin Balderas.
In the area covered by Bonifacio St. a new residential building called Parkside Bonifacio is conspicuously located.-
