English: Nabadwip (Bengali: নবদ্বীপ) is a truism and pilgrim city of West Bengal, situated in the western bank of Hooghly river. It is a holy place where Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was born. It is considered to have been founded in 1063 CE, and served as the old capital of the Sena dynasty. It was referred to as Oxford of East
বাংলা: নবদ্বীপ ভারতের পূর্বাঞ্চলীয় রাজ্য পশ্চিমবঙ্গের একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পর্যটনকেন্দ্র এবং তীর্থস্থান। হুগলী নদীর পশ্চিম তীরে অবস্থিত সুপ্রাচীন এই শহরে চৈতন্য মহাপ্রভু জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। বাংলার সেন রাজাদের আমলে নবদ্বীপ রাজধানী ছিল। এটি বিদ্যালাভের পীঠস্থান ও বাংলার অক্সফোর্ড নামে পরিচিত ছিল।
