When I edit a page at Commons, it says at the bottom:

Text must not violate any copyright and must be based on verifiable sources. By editing here, you agree to licence your contributions under the GFDL.

I am not so familiar with the "MediaWiki:" namespace, but it seems that this text results from your edit to MediaWiki:Copyrights. I found this confusing. At one point I thought I was editing English Wikipedia instead of Commons. I would like to request some changes:

  • Instead of linking to Wikipedia:Wikipedia:Copyrights, link to Commons:Copyrights. The latter page is superior for explaining copyrights at Commons.
  • Remove the text "and must be based on verifiable sources". I could not find any page in the "Commons:" namespace that says to base my text on verifiable sources. Further, the linked pages at English Wikipedia only apply to encyclopedia articles, not to Commons.

I cannot make these changes because the page is protected. Could you make these changes, or otherwise fix the page? --Kernigh 18:42, 23 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Done. (In the future, it might make more sense to discuss changes at MediaWiki talk:Copyrightwarning, where others will see your comments.) User:dbenbenn 21:24, 23 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

NetHack game not found

[edit]

Your NetHack image messages say that you "can view the game with the ttyplay command by downloading the ttyrec file for 2005-10-22." However, there is no such file in that server in that directory. --ZeroOne 09:18, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe I gave the wrong date. I will go search for the file. --Kernigh 17:12, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bot

Hallo
There is a template for bots for using it in the babelbox. you only need to add

{{babel-1|bot}}

to the userpage of your bot. With greetings. Augiasstallputzer 13:54, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
