Simple interface
FastCCI is a gadget that shows up on category pages as a simple, two-part button. It shows all Featured pictures, Quality images, or Valued images. All sub-categories are fully traversed. It increases the discoverability of quality content on Commons.
-
The user interface, shown on every category page
-
A gallery of images with positive assessments in Category:Idaho. Note the strength-of-match slider to refine the results in real time and the opened menu with advanced operations.
-
A category trail is shown above the image when navigating from a fastcci search result, explaining why the image was included in the results
Advanced interface
The advanced interface is accessible through the dropdown menu activated by the right part of the button. Through this menu operations like arbitrary category intersections can be performed.
-
Performing a category intersection between Category:Wyoming and Category:Bison. Open the advanced menu...
-
...enter the category to intersect with, and press enter or Ok.
-
The results of the intersection. Note the Quality Image showing up with the QI badge in the results.
The backend server is running on Wikimedia Cloud VPS project (and could be scaled by adding more instances). Response times on typical categories are in the sub-second range. Longer running queries stream status updates (via WebSockets, if available) and display progress to the user.
Technical problems
As many things in real life, this gadget may not always work. Fortunately, you can check the current status from this page:

In case the status page reports an error, or in case the status page itself is clearly not accessible, please contact one of the server maintainers from this page:
