Overexposed?

This photo is the featured picture for today (October 6, 2012). Although I love User:JJ Harrison's photos, this time it seems to me that this picture is over-exposed, not just a little but a lot. To my surprise its English Wikipedia Featured Picture discussion didn't even raise the issue of exposure or contrast but some were praising its "ev". Am I alone considering this photo far too "bleached" to be a Featured Picture? I intend to list this picture for possible delisting of its featured status in a day or two.
