Rename request
[edit]“ | A mistake - it's Giorgi, and not Vakhtang - the printing house made a mistake, and Vateishvili said it himself. | ” |
The request affects a number of pages, and quite significantly. Are you able to better identify your source for the evidence that you state in the rename request? Thanks. billinghurst sDrewth 10:47, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
- Hi ! Well, first of all look at the clothes :) There are christian icons, crosses and other Christian attributes. Vakhtang pretended being a Moslem, so I don't think that he might wear such clothes, would he? :) --Gaeser (talk) 11:30, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
- While you may be correct, for the rename to occur for this file, where others are using the picture, the case to be presented does need to be stronger. At the moment, the best we have is equivalent to a "he said, she said" argument. There are multiple people using the image, and you are making a declaration that they are wrong and this change needs to be made. Just changing the name is going to be insufficient, we will also need to editing each wiki to remove the document links, and leaving a validation for the action. We need an evidence base. — billinghurst sDrewth 11:54, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
- I agree with Gaeser. Those who are familiar with the Georgian history of that time can easily recognize George XI. The file should be renamed.Kober (talk) 13:07, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
- Also, agree to rename to the correct name. Geagea (talk) 20:05, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
- Like many other Georgian monarch they both where forced to pretended to be Muslims for a while, not just one of them. In any case, I agree that this is definitely George XI.--Sacdeli (talk) 22:19, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
