This wording does not seem appropriate without some clarification: "...Once switchgrass blanketed the prairies, protecting the soil, cleansing the wetlands."
How does the plant "cleanse" the wetlands? What impurities did it remove in the old days? What did it do with them? This sounds like the mumbo-jumbo that accompanies some claims for alternative medicines that "remove impurities from the blood." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mmmeiss (talk • contribs) 13:52, 1 June 2017 (UTC)
