Is this an Olmec artifact?

[edit]

I have serious doubts that this is an Olmec artifact. While I am not a professional in this area, I am familiar with Olmec conventions and there is nothing in this mask that is typical Olmec. The nose, the nose-piece, the circles around the eyes, the mouth -- none of them appear to be Olmec. Just sayin'. Madman2001 (talk) 02:54, 28 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Descriptions and photos were reversed with another pre-Columbian mask in the Honolulu Museum of Art. I have corrected the error.Hiart (talk) 21:25, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
