Identification

[edit]

@GPSLeo: Hello. My comments apply to all the photos "File:Hypholoma lateritium in the Spandauer Forst 01.jpg" to "File:Hypholoma lateritium in the Spandauer Forst 16.jpg".

Please could you say why you think the mushrooms in these pictures are H. lateritium? To me they look like H. fasciculare, or perhaps H. capnoides. Unfortunately the gills under the cap are not visible in any of the photos - that would make the identification clearer and make the photos much more useful. But I believe that the cap colour is a diagnostic feature of H. lateritium and (as the German name of the species indicates) the caps need to be red - not just rather orange in the centre. I would suggest that these photos should be recategorized as "Unidentified Hypholoma". Would that be OK? Strobilomyces (talk) 15:55, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the hint. I changed the categories and descriptions. --GPSLeo (talk) 07:34, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
