Why is this not Art Nouveau?

Hello @JopkeB Yes, is Art Nouveau. In Catalonia, Art Nouveau is known as Category:Modernisme and Category:Casa Museu Gaudí in this category (now). I added the image to Category:Art Nouveau objects. Thanksǃ Herodotptlomeu (talk) 12:39, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your explanation and adding the right category. But it is confusing that Category:Modernisme is about Art Nouveau in Catalonia:

There also is Category:Modernism, for the whole world, and I guess this is not about Art Nouveau.
According to Commons:Categories#Universality principle subcategories should have the same name (in this case Art Nouveau) as the parent; "local dialects and terminology should be supressed in favour of universality".

So perhaps Category:Modernisme should be renamed to Category:Art Nouveau in Catalonia. I think we need a category discussion about question. JopkeB (talk) 16:33, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
