Crimea status
[edit]Do you can add Crimea? --Gastón Cuello (talk) 15:24, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
- Please be patient. Still, too much is unknown about the situation and status can change both de-jure and de-facto sooner or later. Come back in a couple of months and check again. The new situation will be incoorporated and maps must reflect de-facto changes but I'll take some time. --TUBS 08:18, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
- That's true, I would recommend a light color for the area --Gastón Cuello (talk) 13:17, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
- There's an already well established color scheme that can also be applied in this case. And yes, Crimea will be, most certainly light grey in both Russia and Ukraine location map, kinda like Kosovo in this file (This is only a design preview - I don't draw any legal or political conclusions). And I know that map makers of German Wikipedia (who coordinate a great portion of the work) already started to discuss all issues concerning maps in that area. --TUBS 14:00, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
- Okay, we have to wait what they say... (sorry, I written in Spanish) --Gastón Cuello (talk) 14:40, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
- User:NordNordWest uploaded a new version of the map of the European Russia with Crimea and Sevastopol appearing as grey-coloured, as requested on this Discussion page, but this edit has been reverted for several users. This page needs a protection. Inhakito (talk) 05:32, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
