This is the Entrance to the site of the former Trowbridge Boys' High School, before it became the John of Gaunt School with the addition of the Girls'High School , a much more modern post World War I building, on land, next door. I resent the fact that there is no mention of the Boys' High School, despite the continued use of its buildings at the present time. As far as I am aware the last Headmaster was Mr G.V,S,Bucknall who retired to Holt, Wiltshire in the early 1970s.
