changes in the measures

[edit]

The last edit in the file changed 1/3 to 2/3 (radius of the big circle) and changed 1/9 to 2/9 (diameter of the star). I think both changes are wrong, according to the explanation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Europe#Design. --Plasmarelais (talk) 21:28, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The measures on enWP are given relative to the height (hoist) of the flag, i.e. if the flag is one unit high, the radius of the circle through the star centers is 1/3 unit and the radius of each star is 1/18 unit. The flag height in this image is two units (both halves are set to 1), so all dimensions are twice those in the enWP prose (the circle's radius is 2/3, and the stars' radii are 1/9, i.e. their diameters are 2/9). Since only the proportions matter, the current image is consistent with enWP, while the previous version is not. SiBr4 (talk) 21:53, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the explanation, all my apologies for being too stupid too see all the measures. Sorry for wasting your time ;) --Plasmarelais (talk) 08:56, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
