Please extend image description
[edit]Can someone please explain what is shown here and add it to the image description page? I don't really have a clue what I see here. Furthermore I think, this image is not very usable for other wikimedia projects if there is no explaination about its content.
Thanks in advance. --norro 19:10, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- It's desert in Iran, like the descripion below the image. P A L L A D I N U S talk 08:36, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, it's the Dasht-e Kavir desert in Iran. But what are the coordinates covered by the image? The image was produced by NASA. But what satellite? What program? What web site is the original image available from? I think user Norro had a point. 66.25.169.151 06:26, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

This image was acquired by Landsat 7’s Enhanced Thematic Mapper plus (ETM+) sensor on October 24, 2000. This is a false-color composite image made using infrared, green, and red wavelengths. The image has also been sharpened using the sensor’s panchromatic band. Image provided by the USGS EROS Data Center Satellite Systems Branch."
