• @Aronlee90: , Yes, it's a hoax. The original photograph has been saled in zh:孔夫子旧书网 (here: http://mbook.kongfz.com/3424/409394156/), tagging as "民国时期童养媳与小丈夫结婚照片" (Wedding photograph of a tongyangxi and her child husband, Republican Era). The Republican Era lasted from 1912 to 1949, but Hong Tianguifu was executed in 1864. So, this boy can't be Hong Tianguifu. By the way, the Bowler hat was introduced to China in the late 19th century, when Hong Tianguifu had died several decades before.
