Abandonment of claims to Mosquito Coast

@Milenioscuro: Greetings, and thank you for this extremely helpful animated map! I have been trying to track down references on the status of Mosquito Coast with little success. This file says New Grenada abandoned its claim to Mosquito Coast on 29 April 1850. What is your source for that date? I see that's 10 days after the signing of the US-UK Clayton–Bulwer Treaty.

This date appears to contradict File:Colombia in 1853.svg / File:Colombia (1853).svg and also determines the time period during wich File:New Granada (orthographic projection).svg is valid. I skimmed through this book from 1855, and even then the question seemed unsettled. Thanks! -- Beland (talk) 16:56, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
