This is not the famous Andries Pretorius, this is his son, also named Andries Pretorius

There was a photo taken of the famous Pretorius in 1850, but it was last seen in the early 1900s, and is presumed lost. This is according to Johan Wolfaardt, curator of the President Pretorius museum on Potchefstroom.
