SVG files with errors
[edit]@Tuvalkin: do you refer to Windows-1250 perversions or there is something essentially erroneous? Incnis Mrsi (talk) 14:05, 16 January 2018 (UTC)
- By the way, morons from Corel Corp. declared Windows-1250 (or essentially identical Windows-1252) as ISO 8859-1 which doesn’t have graphic characters at \200–\237. Yes, it is an error by all counts. Going to replace all the crap with UTF-8. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 14:10, 16 January 2018 (UTC)
- Unicode is the only way to go, ever since the mid 1990s. -- Tuválkin ✉ ✇ 19:46, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
- I mean that the file itself has errors, not that the file’s contents pertain to errors elsewhere. Please see this screenshot. -- Tuválkin ✉ ✇ 19:46, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
- (please reply here and do no misuse reversions and their edit comments to engage in dialogue) -- Tuválkin ✉ ✇ 19:57, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
- The new file renders better but there’s still «x1m2» instead of «x₁m₂». -- Tuválkin ✉ ✇ 19:57, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
Description
[edit]@Tuvalkin: what for do you push this garbage back? It was obviously an artifact from the messy edit by Sevela.p. And couldn’t you guess what did “autor” intend to signify? Incnis Mrsi (talk) 20:04, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
- I presume it means "author" or "authorization"? Either way, edit how ever you want, but do not revert my edit unless it was an obvious mistake. When I added the category "SGV files with errors" this file did have errors; after you correct the errors, you should remove the categorization as a new edit, not undo my own. -- Tuválkin ✉ ✇ 20:10, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
- I use undo and revert functions to undo changes, not less but not more. It doesn’t implicate anybody in incompetence or so – just indicates that the specified change has to be undone. Unsure why Tuvalkin commences pettifogging for such a matter. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 20:16, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
- Sorry, I disagree: Undo/reverse in a wiki means «this was a wrong edit», not «this edit is not accurate anymore» — and it’s especially so when it’s two different users making the edit and its reversion. Maybe I’m reading too much into the matter, but I clearky feel that way. -- Tuválkin ✉ ✇ 16:30, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
Subscripts and superscripts
[edit]These “1” and “2” should be like this? We didn’t finish cleanup apparently. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 20:30, 2 January 2019 (UTC)
- (I had forgot all about this!) I think so. Apparently this file is meant to be a banchmark test for rendering of typography details, or at least an example or specimen of one. -- Tuválkin ✉ ✇ 16:27, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
I remade “1” and “2” with the server-side Loma
font (having the shape for “1” approximating that on the PNG). Special thanks to TilmannR who fixed the bug making the stuff invisible in a browser. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 19:51, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
