English: Zincite, Willemite, Calcite
Locality: Sterling Mine, Sterling Hill, Ogdensburg, Franklin Mining District, Sussex County, New Jersey, USA (Locality at mindat.org)
Size: 4 x 3 x 2.5 cm.
Famous for its fluorescent minerals, this classic combination from Franklin, NJ is a bit rarer. The piece is rich with large, if cleaved crystals of Zincite, spanning the entire width of the specimen. There is even exposed Zincite on virtually every side of the specimen, some up to 1 cm. The faces have excellent luster and deep cherry red color. Intergrown is plentiful Willemite and Calcite, both of which have brilliant fluorescence. An excellent old classic. Ex. Charlie Key.
