Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Above the entrance to the church were inscribed the words “Venerable Cross, sign of God, title of Jesus, gate of heaven, which has washed sins away, strengths of the weak, whom nations invoke, invincible weapon, which freeze odium, three times happy Wood, in the name of Christ God receive with benevolence the hands which are tending towards you. Nicetas.” Blind niches were created on both sides of the church, in which the main space consisted of a single abscissa and semi circular vaults. The tombs found on the ground very likely belonged to the church officials. The church has been referred to as the Holy Cross Church because embossed cross motives have been elaborated frequently on the structure. On the east wall of the nave is located the wine house. It has been plastered with lime on the inside and had been used for wine production.
