English: With 69 mph winds, Tropical Cyclone Zane is seen in this image taken by the Suomi NPP satellite on April 30th, 2013 at 03:15z as it heads towards Queensland, Australia. An image taken at the same time in using the satellite's infrared imagery shows intense convection in the center of the storm, though no eyewall. Over the next day, Zane is expected to strengthen to 98 mph winds before making landfall shortly after 06:00z on May 1st. |
