Description ursprünglich kommen diese Schildkröten aus Nordamerika, inzwischen findet man sie in vielen Gewässern in Berlin - sie wurden von ihren Besitzern ausgesetzt weil sie zu groß geworden sind. Vermehren können sie sich hier nicht, denn es gibt keine warmen Sandstrände, aber sie werden größer und überleben offensichtlich auch strenge Winter wie den letzten 2017/18 mit strengem Frost recht gut. Diese hier leben im Jungfernheide- See in Berlin- Charlottenburg.
