Description
English: "You may veil us but you will never dictate who we love" is a photographic work by Mariam Magsi that won first place in the Single Images Category and Audience Choice Award at the Pride Photo Awards, advised by World Press Photo, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The photograph was also publicly published on a billboard in the centre of the city. The work depicts two veiled LGBTQ individuals in a protective embrace, united against intolerance and hate.
