English: You have been warned! This gate is the entrance to Lodge Cottage and also gives access to the northern part of the Beckingham Army Training Area.
The signs say, from left to right: Below the yellow triangles: "Warning troops training" and "Danger beware of moving vehicles" Large white sign: "Important notice: No waiting for military vehicles except for emergencies, Military personnel gaining access to training area must not wait against adjoining private properties" Long red sign and little green one both ask that the gate should be kept closed at all times. Large sign on post: "Danger, Military firing range, keep out while flags or lamps are displayed. Danger, do not touch any military debris, it may explode and kill you" Beneath the footpath arrow are two signs reminding you to keep dogs on leads. Sign on post to the right of stile: Public footpath, warning, this footpath crosses an army training area, please keep to the marked rights of way" |
