| Description |
Svenska: Inskrift (Kufisk skrift) : "Allah rachim u rachman" (Gud rättrådig och barnhärtig). Funnen i en skreva mellan två klippblock av ett par skolpojkar på 1940-talet. Tillsammans med glödpannan fanns tre glödtänger (XLM.09698) samt ett trattlikande föremål. Alla föremål av brons.
Glödpannan tros vara tillverkad i Syrien eller Khorasan (norra Iran eller nuvarande Afghanistan) i början av 900-talet. Den kunde användas som en liten bärbar kamin eller att bränna rökelse i.
English: Inscription (kufic writing) "Allah rachim u rachman" (Good righteous and merciful). Found in a crevice between two boulders by two school boys in the 1940´s. Together with the brazier were found three glow tongs (XLM.09698) and a funnel shaped object. All three items in bronze.
The brazier is believed to be produced in Syria or Khorasan (northern Iran or present day Aafghanistan) i the early 10th century. It could be used as a portable stove or for incense. |
