Wurlitzer Sideman drum machine 1957,[note 1] at the Cantos Foundation museum. One of the first drum machines ever built, it used solder connections to register a beat. This one has been fixed up heavily over the years in order to remain functional. It plays a sweet bossa nova beat. Visited Cantos Foundation in February 2009 and took a lot of pictures and video.
