Description
Deutsch: Wuppertal, Elberfeld-Mitte, Alte Freiheit, Höhe Hofaue, Baugrube der Wuppertaler Stadtwerke für einen Wartungsschacht, in der historische Mauerreste gefunden wurden, die das Amt für Bodendenkmalpflege als schützenswert eingeordnet hat. Aus diesem Grund wurde die Fortsetzung der Tiefbautätigkeit untersagt. Die Grube wird verfüllt, der weitere Mauerverlauf soll bei späterer Gelegenheit untersucht werden.
Einblick in die Grube war aufgrund der Absperrsituation schwierig, die Deutung des Bodenquerschnitts ist es für den Normalbetrachter gleichfalls. Nun legt aber eine von den Stadtwerken veröffentlichte Aufnahme nahe, dass die Mauersteine, die ja in situ verbleiben müssen, zwischenzeitlich mit dem Malervlies am Grubenboden abgedeckt wurden, also gar nicht mehr sichtbar sind.
