| Description | The Japanese destroyer Kikuzuki (1926-1942) beached in Purvis Bay, Florida Island, Solomon Islands, in 1944. She had been sunk on 4 May 1942, when USS Yorktown (CV-5) planes raided the Tulagi area, and was salvaged by the U.S. Navy in 1943. Note the torpedo davit and drum stowage at left and the torpedo reload box alongside the after smokestack. |
