Description We soon heard some rumbling on the bridge. And look ye here, what else should come by rumbling on the track than a TRAIN!! Trains have been so kind to me for the past couple of trips. Just six months earlier, I'd been delighted to see a train at Butterworth station in Penang, Malaysia, when my driver guide was assuring me that the train out of the station was only at 14:30. It was only past 11:00 at that point. And now this. Surprise indeed to see this train at 09:00 when the departure was not until 11:30, which too I discovered only much later! This is serendipity at its extreme best! (Vientaine, Laos/ Lao PDR, April 2014)
