Summary

[edit]
Description
English: World Horse Welfare headquarters - entrance As seen from the car park beside Sallow Lane. The building on the other side of the lane was opened by the Rt Hon Lord Plumb D.L. M.E.P. on the 27th May 1991. World Horse Welfare was founded in 1927 by Ada Cole, as a campaigning organisation to prevent the export of live British horses for slaughter. World Horse Welfare today is an international charity dedicated to caring for horses. The four recovery and rehabilitation centres are located throughout Great Britain, one of these being situated by the village of Snetterton in the Breckland district of Norfolk. Hall Farm was opened in 2003 by the organisation's president HRH The Princess Royal and can house 120 horses at any one time. The centre is open all year on Wednesdays, weekends and bank holidays, from 10am to 4pm. Admission is free. http://www.worldhorsewelfare.org/
