Summary
[edit]DescriptionWood Hill Way - geograph.org.uk - 392005.jpg |
English: Wood Hill Way, Skidby, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Leading north-westwards from the village, this was the main 'high road' to Beverley prior to the modernisation and realignment of the Willerby to Beverley road, which is just off camera to the left. The sign on the left says 'Traveller's caravan site', marking the narrow entrance to a former chalk quarry adapted for this usage. I guess the pony shares those facilities! The modern building in middle distance is the clubhouse of the Skidby Lakes Golf Club. |
