Summary
[edit]DescriptionWonderful London (1927) 36 – Flower seller, Piccadilly Circus.jpg |
London, 1920s Photogravure by Donald Macleish from Wonderful London by St John Adcock, 1927. At Piccadilly Circus the flower seller is to be observed in her most prosperous state. At one time the flower sellers of London dealt for the lost-part in buttonholes, because the City clientele was almost exclusively male. Now cut flowers are on sale as a sign of feminine custom.
