c. 1899 Lithograph Court sized Undivided back 11.70x8.60cm A very early court-sized postcard most probably by Paul Gerhardt, the chief lithographer at the Ravi Varma Press in Bombay. Note the trompe de l'oeil (optical illusion to create a three-dimensional effect) with the towel and lantern, and how realistically the charpai is propped up against the wall. |
