Description
English: The Waste Water Treatment Works (WWTW) at Winchburgh is Scotlands lowest carbon new WWTW. The £35m plant replaced an ageing WWTW nearby which had served fewer than 4,000 customers. The new works is capable of supporting the needs of more than 16,000 people. This photo was taken from the nearby Union Canal three weeks before the plant was officially opened (30 Oct 2024)
