Description
Français : Wimereux (France - département du Pas-de-Calais) - Le Port à Marée Basse.
Le port est crée par Napoléon Bonaparte en 1805 et fait partie du Camp de Boulogne de l'Armée des côtes de l'Océan qui fut reconstituée en décembre 1803 à Boulogne-sur-Mer en vue d'un débarquement en Angleterre.
Sur le cliché on peut voir des pieux enfoncés tout le long de l'embouchure de la rivière Le Wimereux, derniers vestiges de l'estacade du port. Le chalet entouré d'un mur s'appelait Le Sorézien (actuelle villa Napoléonnette.*) ; il était à l'époque le premier lieu d'installation du laboratoire de biologie et de zoologie maritime fondé par Alfred Giard**
