| Description |
English: Wightbus 5868 (KX56 OVU), a Mercedes-Benz O814D/Plaxton Beaver 3, in Marsh Road, Gurnard, Isle of Wight, on route 30, passing the house with all the models on it. Originally, from the September 2010 timetable is was expected that Wightbus route 30 (Cowes - Newport) would be withdrawn, with a sole journey from Cowes to Newport (after the bus finished its duties on the 32) being renumbered 32 to match the main circular service around the area (Cowes - Gurnard - Northwood - Cowes). It appeared in both the Southern Vectis and Wightbus timetables as being a 32, but in the end it seems things were changed, as the buses continue to show 30 when they run the journey, and the bus stops themselves show details as the 30. The journey runs via the 32 route until Solent View Road where it runs via Marsh Road and Rew Street to Northwood (rather than straight along Cockleton Lane), as per the 30 of before. From Northwood, it continues to Newport only if requested by people already on the bus. |
