Deutsch: Das Radetzky-Reiterstandbild vor dem Regierungsgebäude (ehem. K.u.k. Kriegsministerium) am Stubenring 1 in der österreichischen Bundeshauptstadt Wien.
Das Denkmal für Feldmarschall Johann Joseph Wenzel Graf Radetzky von Radetz (1766–1858) gab 1886 Erzherzog Albrecht in Auftrag und wurde von Caspar von Zumbusch in den Jahren von 1886 bis 1892 errichtet. Der Sockel wurde nach den Plänen des Architekten George Niemann ausgeführt. Die Reliefs links und rechts am Sockel sind Werke von Hans Bitterlich und zeigen Radetzky beim Kriegsrat im Kreise seiner Generäle sowie Vater Radetzky mit Soldaten. An der Vorderseite des Sockel befindet sich ein bronzener Doppeladler und darüber eine Tafel mit den berühmten Worten von Franz Grillparzer: "In deinem Lager ist Österreich". Ursprünglich war der Standort des Reiterstandbildes vor dem ehemaligen Hofkriegsratsgebäude Am Hof (Enthüllung am 24.4.1892), 1912 wurde es vor das neu errichtete Kriegsministerium am Stubenring versetzt. |
