Description
Deutsch: Südansicht des Bahnhofkomplexes Wien Mitte im 3. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Landstraße.
Nach jahrelangem Hin und Her wurde das Projekt von 2007 bis 2013 realisiert (1. Teileröffnung am 8.11.2012). Es handelt sich um die Überbauung des Bahnhofs Wien-Mitte, in dem zwei U-Bahn- und fünf Schnellbahnlinien sowie der CAT halten. Dabei wurde nach den Plänen der Architektenteams Ortner & Ortner (Manfred Ortner, Laurids Ortner) und Neumann + Steiner (Heinz Neumann, Eric Steiner) mit einem Gesamtinvestitionsvolumen von etwa 480 Millionen Euro ein Gebäudekomplex mit einem 70-Meter-Hochhaus mit 17 Stockwerken, sowie ein Shoppingcenter mit 30.000 m² Fläche und Parkdecks mit 500 Stellplätzen errichtet.
