| Description |
English: 8 April 2014. A poster of a smiling woman advises customers at a Tottenham Betting shop to "Gamble Responsibly" when using betting machines. How? By setting their machine limits. So they "Stay in Control".
There are also posters for the National Gambling Helpline. The smiling owners of betting companies know very well that these exhortations to compulsive gamblers will not dent the companies' profits. They'll also try avoiding the restrictions on these machines by opening more betting shops - especially in high streets in poorer areas.
