Description
English: What does this mean? These slate posts are dotted along this edge of Hafren forest, all saying w.w.w.1.8.6.5. on one side and 1865. on the other - can any one help? Someone has said it's to do with the water catchment area - help....

The stones are boundary markers put up at the instigation of Sir Watkin Williams Wynn, hence W.W.W., whose estate boundary ran along the ridge, co-incident with the county boundary.
