[edit]DescriptionWestminster at the coronation of King George III 1761.png |
English: "Ground plan of part of the city of Westminster as it appeared at the coronation of King George III, 1761" attributed to John Rowe and published by John Major of Fleet Street, London, in 1820. The original source is stated to be John Roque's map of London.
The coronation of King George III and Queen Charlotte was on 22 September 1761. The map shows the route of the state procession on foot between Westminster Hall and Westminster Abbey, the only part of the coronation ceremonial which could be seen by the public. |
