Description
Deutsch: Im Wald auf halber Strecke zwischen Raffach im Landkreis Landshut und Mühlhausen im Landkreis Dingolfing-Landau an der LA4, steht das Kreuz an der Ostseite der Straße.

Das Marterl im Wald erinnert an einen unverschuldeten, tödlichen Autounfall des Landwirtssohns Anton Grundner aus Asbach. Das Kreuz mit verbretterter Rückseite ist aus Holz gefertigt und enthält ein Kruzifix vom Viernageltypus aus Metallguss. Am Kreuzsesstamm berichtet eine Tafel vom Unfallopfer und seinen Lebensdaten.

Sein Grab befindet sich auf dem Friedhof in Hofkirchen. Weiter unten folgt ein gereimter Vierzeiler, der etwas makaber klingt:

"Wanderer, vernimm die Kunde,

daß hier ging ein Mensch zugrunde.

Danke Gott als guter Christ,

daß Du's nicht selber gwesen bist."
