Description
Deutsch: Evang. Pfarrkirche A.B. - Die Bachbauer Lutherbibel in der Evangelischen Kirche in Zlan, Gemeinde Stockenboi, stammt aus dem Jahr 1692 und wurde von der Druckerei Endter in Nürnberg geschaffen. Sie ist eine Weimarer Bibel, die auf Initiative von Herzog Ernst dem Frommen von Sachsen Weimar (1601 – 1675) zurückgeht. Der Luthertext ist mit zahlreichen Kupferstichen, ausführlichen Kommentaren, Karten und illustrierten Zwischentitel versehen, sowie mit ganzseitigen Abbildungen und Lebensläufen einiger Kurfürsten aus Sachsen, weshalb sie auch „Kurfürstenbibel“ genannt wird. Aufgrund ihres riesigen Formates wird vermutet, dass sie erst nach dem Toleranzpatent nach Kärnten gelangt ist, wahrscheinlich als Bücherspende für die Toleranzgemeinde Zlan. Erst später, als sie für den Gebrauch des Gottesdienstes als veraltet angesehen wurde, kam sie in den Privatbesitz der Familie Kapeller vulgo Bachbauer.
